The boys and I have returned from our trip to New Mexico. It was a very tough three weeks and in the end we were unsuccessful in getting my Grammer and Grandad to the point they could live alone without any help. The pictures included in this post are mostly of their new home at an assisted living site called the Bee Hive. Marli, Kane and Colter surprised them with a visit which I think made the transition a little better, yet they are still asking to be taken home. We made their room look as cozy as possible with all their furniture and pictures from home, but in the end, after 50+ years in the same house, it is not home. This is something that we all will face someday either with parents or grandparents, and ultimately ourselves..
