It's going to be a long season....

The first game is behind us. No one kept score (except Clark in his head and he counted 14 goals to our 1) and the kids had a really good time. We did have to keep reminding them to go after the ball, not each other, and we also kept reminding them which goal was actually ours. Nelson never did get the jest of the game, he would just chase anyone that had on a yellow jersey never even looking for the ball. Henry just kind of hung back and watched the mayhem. I guess there's a reason that they have an age requirement and somehow we ended up with the youngest team in the league. The other team did have a lot more experience, one kid has played three years, and they were all older than us. So we left the game, licking our wounds, and nursing Clark's ego, telling the boys how fantastic they did and how fast they were, but we both agreed, it's going to be a long season!
