In honor of Dr. King

"The greatest birthday gift my husband could receive is if people of all racial and ethnic backgrounds celebrated the holiday by performing individual acts of kindness through service to others." -Coretta Scott King

We gave Henry and Nelson a lesson on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. yesterday. We told them of the selfless commitment that he made to bringing together a divided nation. We told them of all the people around the country that were making it a day of service in honor of Dr. King's mission. With this in mind we headed to the beach with our bags and gloves to do our part in helping make our community a better place.

Nice work parents! There's lots to learn from community service in general..What a great lesson, they are lucky to have such great parents!

Nice! I'm embarrassed to admit we didn't do anything significant. You're awesome.
