Birthday Synopsis

It is official... I am 24, I mean 34. Wow, I actually typed that without even thinking about it. I don't feel old today. I thought I would, but after the day I had yesterday, I feel young as ever. Here's the synopsis...

The morning found us first on the ferry, riding over to the island with a dolphin bobbing up and down in front of us. Treat #1.

Here we are on Mustang Island building sandcastles. A bit chilly and windy, but super fun. And Kaya Bean was with us too (that's her butt behind me)!

Henry and I did a little planting when we got home from the beach. Little did I know that things were brewing in the house with Clark and Nelson.

Yep, a party!! Following a delicious cookout the party started, complete with balloons, streamers and a birthday cake.

And, no party is complete without a game of Pin the Tale on the Donkey. It is fantastic in the fact that it's a game you gladly do not wake up hungover from... Bonus!!

While I was at the movie store, alone, the boys were decorating the house and setting up all of our air mattresses, complete with pillows, blankets and 3/4 of our stuffed animal collection. Regrettably, I do not have a photo of the living room. We had a slumber party! We rented the movie Bolt, ate popcorn and had a pillow fight.

How perfect of a day is that? And, how can one not feel young again? I awoke in the middle of the night. Nelson's mattress was right next to ours, and I could hear him giggling in his sleep. It was the sweetest sound I think I have ever heard. I drifted back to sleep, officially a year older, and officially happier and more fulfilled with life than ever.
