Day in Brooklyn

Our last day in New York was spent in Brooklyn. After we hugged most of the family goodbye and sent them off to catch a plane, the rest of us headed to Brooklyn. We had planned on a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge but holy canoli it was freezing that day, sunny, but freezing. So we took the subway and it spit us out right in front of the Brooklyn Botanical Garden.
This is Henry, Nelson and Malin at the wishing well. Malin was our tour guide and later our hostess to a wonderful dinner just across the street from the garden. Her mother is a fantastic cook!

Malin has a super fun bedroom which the boys loved ransacking. They said they loved her "baby" grand piano and trumpet the best.

I loved the view from her window.

"No more monkeys jumping on the bed!"

I also was able to see my very dear friend Lesley, whom I have been friends with since the 6th grade, and have not seen in almost 10 years. She and her little handsome man Jasper, also residents of the Brooklyn hood, strolled through the garden with us...It was as if we had not missed a day. Love you girl!
