Right of Passage

This is what makes a kid a kid, a boy a boy with skinned knees and road-rashed elbows. It is a challenge we have yet to conquer. One is eager to learn but not so eager to allow us to let go. The other is yet to allow himself to get his speed necessary for keeping the balance. One thing they both are is proud, proud, proud of those shiny new bikes.

This is the pep talk... It went something like this, "When Wolverine was a boy he had to learn to ride a bike too and sometimes he fell off but he always got back on that bike and now he rides that super cool motorcycle."

I love reading your new posts. I hope for them everyday (no pressure!). The boys are getting so big, and Paula, how awesome it is to witness their milestones and watch them grow, living so far away.

Your pictures are incredible!

Love to you all. Happy Valentine's Day!

I was afraid I was going to see skinned knees in one of those pictures! I'm sure we're all happy that didn't happen.
