Big City Tournament

Saturday we took our lil' ol' soccer team to a big ol' tournament. Our team is really good. We have been together for several seasons and the kids play really well together. We dominate our little league and decided it time to take our talent into the city for a US Youth Soccer tournament. We had 3 games and felt pretty confident after the first one...That was before we met this guy...

The Enforcer...

...his position on the team.

And his teammates that did not allow a goal, even by this guy, our leading scorer.

Nelson did get an awesome breakaway goal in our first game.

Henry had a few of his own.

Heading in to the tournament ready for a day of competition.

The boys waiting for their team to arrive.

Our little star athletes.

And then there were these guys... Our last competitors of the day...They were tough, fast, skilled and a little dirty. They tripped, and elbowed and laughed when one of our guys went down. We ended this game bruised and battered and returned to our little section of town with egos checked.

Until next season...

oh my god....this is the funniest! The enforcer looks like a chubby, 5 year, ronaldo in the making! Thanks for the funny start to the week!

Nicely set up for the image of THE ENFORCER. Alex played soccer one year before switching over to football for four year. A girl on his team (I still remember her name was Lauren) ran circles around the guys.

oh no! That was hilarious. Love that 'little' enforcer! Way to tough it out, Henry and Nelson! Next year...
