Oh, the Places You'll Go

Warning:  Loads of family vacation pictures follow...

We spent 3 fun filled-exhausting-nonstop-sensory overloaded days in Orlando. We more or less had one goal in mind and that was to allow the boys to be immersed in the world of Harry Potter.  The Wizarding World certainly accomplished that desire. We finished up the 3rd book the evening before in our hotel room. The anticipation was almost too much to bear...

First stop.. Hogsmeade, of course.  Amazing.  Amazing.  While the boys did not particularly care for the butterbeer and said they would never go on the Forbidden Journey ride again (being a non-rollercoaster-rider myself, I loved it!) they did love feeling as though they were in the world of Harry Potter..We all did. They picked out their own wands, sipped pumpkin juice, road the hippogriff rollercoaster (twice..a little more age appropriate than the other ones), wandered through Zonkos and Honeydukes and even listended to Moaning Myrtle while utilizing the restroom facilities.

Next stop...Seuss Landing.  Wow. You feel as though you have stepped into an actual Seuss book. Nelson's favorite ride of the whole day was The Cat in the Hat.

And the last stop of the day... Marvel Land.  After the Forbidden Journey rollercoaster we were unable to get Nelson on the Spiderman ride.  Henry, however, was not going to miss it...  They both enjoyed meeting all of the superheros.  Nelson loved telling his brother about meeting Rogue, the super cool female superhero from X-men, in a shop while buying a toy.  Unbeknownst to the both of us she walked in the empty shop, came up behind Nelson, touselled his hair and said, "Cool toy, buddy!"  We turned around and saw Rogue smiling down at him then she quickly disappeared.  The look on his face was priceless... One of amazement, embarassament, and love-at-first-site, all in one...

And this was just the first day...

Day 2 we were greeted by more friends, rode more rollercoasters, and while we didn't have quite as much fun as the first day (it just wasn't possible), we had a blast...

Nelson and his Hulk face...Unfortunatley the paint does not hold up to 8 hours of heat, humidity nor 2+ hours of running wild in the Curious George waterpark...

And day 3... Fun at Coco Beach with Clark's cousin and her family and an early evening of fun with more cousins...
