Wise Warrior and No School

We were only back to school a few shorts days when, what do you know, we have another 5-1/2 days off for the livestock show. Apparently farm animals are a really big deal in these parts.  Well, it's cold, for South Texas standards, and a bit drizzly so being outside isn't going over too well.. Why with new Wii games to play who can blame them?  Fortunately for a generous Santa up north the boys were given some pretty cool games that we are finally getting around to playing. This being one of them...

I gave the boys a challenge.  The challenge was to build a marble tower of choice, picked from the instruction book and agreed upon WITHOUT arguing.  Once that task complete they had to work together to build it.

Once they deemed it complete, I would test it out... Drop in a marble and see if it makes it to the bottom.

If the task was completed satisfactorily they would receive a fabulous prize... With a few minor adjustments, they did infact perform the task beautifully. And so the fabulous prize...

Delishness from a blender!

And on a side note...
My sweet Nelson...  He said on Wednesday at school the teachers came by and collected him from his class, took him to the office for a special cookie party with a few select other students.  He was told that he was chosen as a Wise Warrior for being the most honest boy in his class... And he was presented with a badge he wore home with such pride.  My little Wise Warrior... I can hardly say it without choking up...

So proud of the Wise Warrior...even I got choked up reading about Nelson's great honor! Tell him Congratulations.

And so proud the boys were able to work together to build the marble tower...now if I could only join them for their tasty prize! Looked delicious.

I don't even know what that concoction is in the blender, I just know that whatever it is, I want some. :)

Ooooh, quadrilla marble mazes. Those are by far the best marble mazes on the market. We just retired ours a few months ago. Seriously??? 5.5 days for a livestock show?? I don't even know what to say about that.
{hugs}
