So Far

Last night Clark and I watched True Grit, finally.  The last scene of the movie is of a mature Mattie Ross walking through a meadow and just before the credits roll she states, "Time just gets away from us."

Isn't that the truth...

This is our summer so far; already one-third completed.

 Lots of water activities.
 Gigging with Dad.
 Swim Lessons:  The demonstration.

Nelson's go.
  Henry's go.

Play time at our favorite lazy river.

Goggles... Check.
Earplug... Check.
Sunscreen... Check (just don't forget to reapply... Already nursing our first sunburn.)

 Hanging on the bay.
Riding around with these guys listening to some Honkadelic.
 Painting birdhouses.
 Eating out.
Sharing root beers.

And, summer reading, of course.

perfect in every way. A friend has a motto, "childhood is now."

You do "now" very, very well.

You are the kind of momma that does summer in-style. Wish we could join you on the "lazy river" because here in MT it is still like winter - yuck!
