It started with a few nights around the chimnia and a couple late night soccer matches.

We eventually got around to getting a tree assembled. As we prefer to keep it natural we did eventually have more needles on the floor and around the house then actually on the tree.

It was with much anticipation that we awaited Nana's arrival to San Antonio... Hanging at the Blue Star was a favorite for the parents.
Exploring the San Antonio river and attempting to launch a ground-scored kite was the kid favorite...
Once Nana arrived...
A jam packed, fun filled 10 days ensued which included activities such as giant hot cocoas...
photo walks...
trolley rides (and rest)...
Mission exploring and being pinned Junior Rangers (again, the first time was this fall in Yellowstone)...
decorating little Smurf houses...
Then of course there was Christmas day...
After several days of Corpus Christi we headed back up to San Antonio. Our hotel reservation was screwed up so we were compensated with a Riverwalk room with a lovely view...
And more exploring...
We ended 2011 celebrating with friends into the wee hours...
That about wraps it up. After spending entirely too much time trying to format this post I am just going to hit publish and hope for the best. It is apparent to me that I am not too savvy with the new layout. Cheers to you all on a happy and healthy 2012...
