For our anniversary this year we decided to forgo any kind of gift and instead spend a day/evening together, playing, eating, drinking, all 4 of us. We had what some may refer to as a "staycation" at a local hotel down on the bay. The boys spent 3 hours in the swimming pool while I read a book and sipped on a Bloody Mary followed by a Pina Colada. Clark spent quality time in the hot tub still recouping that sore back.
After our time in the pool we strolled down to the marina, past the Selena tribute, to a little seafood restaurant, ate and strolled back to the hotel.
While I rested in a hot bath, the boys slipped out to get chocolate cake for desert and in the process voted on driving home, picking up Kaya (whom in turn stepped on the cake) and snuck her into the hotel. She was grateful for her rescue and repaid us by tinkling on the floor. Thank you Kaya.
The next morning we hit up the buffet, drove along the bay and are now tucked back into our cozy home, enjoying a long weekend together.
That's our 5th anniversary in a nutshell.

Happy Anniversary! Seeing the cake picture took me back to your beautiful wedding day...it was hard to tell you had two little ones growing inside of you.
I can't think of a better way to celebrate than with your boys. Enjoy your weekend.
Happy Anniversary, sweet friend! I had to laugh at your mention of the two boys being present, because when I saw it was your 5th, I thought, "Hey ... wait a minute .....!" :)
Your staycation sounds perfect. I love that you were all able to enjoy yourselves -- the pool time sounds divine.
Here's to a lifetime together. Congratulations!!!
Smooch!!
Happy Anniversary...I member the day well...thinking of it makes me wish for another reunion at Chico...the crisp air...feels like such a nice relief to our sweltering apartment (i know you can relate!)
Seems like you all had a very good time. Looking forward to seeing you very soon! I took the week off of work so looking forward to many pool days!
