The Adventure Begins

We are just getting a few last minute things together and then the boys and I fly out of the 100 degree heat, here in about 2 hours. This will be our first time traveling together, alone without Clark. I hope I didn't forget anything... He is the one that usually takes out the trash, locks the doors, packs the electronics and movies, etc. I am just responsible for myself and the boys getting in the car. It's a lot of pressure...
Anyway, we are going to Wyoming for a week, and the bonus, it's Sturgis bike week!! Can't wait to go find my old friend Chains from my single days at the Broken Spoke in Sturgis. Wonder if he still rides with the Hells Angels? Wonder what H&N will think of all those pipes? Pics to come, promise...
And, for my poor husband update... He will not be joining us because he is in West Texas on a major mapping expedition. I don't know why he signs up for such torture, but he is leaving in the morning on an 8-mile trek into the Guadalupe National Forest. He will be up there, with his team and his tent, for 5 days, then hikes back out for 1 day, enough time to clean his 3 pair of underwear, and back in for another 5 days. Now, 5 years ago this would have been a dream, especially after our month and a half of tent camping in Mongolia, but he has aged a bit and goes for weekly adjustments at his chiropracter. I am a bit concerned but please don't tell him I said that. I told him, unless he is dying and/or bit by a rattlesnake, he has to suck it up. So, please pray for him...
I'll update you soon...
For now, we're Denver bound....

There is a family in Denver that cannot wait to see you! Have a safe trip Paula. I can just imagine the stress level of traveling with the boys by yourself. The luggage alone has got to be a tough one!

Have a wonderful vacation...

I am sending lots of luck (and patience!) your way. I don't have the courage (YET) to travel with my two. Tell me it was a breeze (even if it wasn't!) Hee hee ;) Have a wonderful trip!
