Love letter to Wyoming

Dear Wyoming,
It is so nice to be back in your beautiful embrace. Your golden rolling hills and green pastures offered such a nice welcoming while driving up from Cheyenne. And your mountains on the horizon have never looked so majestic.
I am so sorry for the horrible things I said about you in high school. It has taken sometime for me to accept you for who you are and to get over your shortcomings, not having adequate shopping malls, no airports that can escape you from the tortuous wind and winter for under $600, not enough diversity to suit my wandering spirit. I have grown to understand that this is just not you, and if it were you, you would be Colorado. And, while I have nothing against Colorado, well, you just wouldn't be you.
So, thank you for being you. And for welcoming me back home with open arms, even after all the times I said, "God, I can't wait to get out of here!"

Sincerely,
P

(Of note, I know I promised pictures, but the Nikon put my maximum load over the top and it just was not possible. Also of note, Sturgis was not the same... Economy has certainly impacted the biker population. The only ones I saw were the guys that buy the bikes off the showroom floor, not the ones that ride for clubs, have built their bikes with their bare hands and save every penny for an entire year, just to make the journey. These are the bikers I love and I didn't see them. Very sad.)

Ahhhhh - such a sweet letter! I could have easily written it too although mine would be "Dear Idaho," Bummer about the no camera - I am sure the pics would have been stunning!
