Our first official week of school has come to an end, and it was nothing less than eventful.
H&N love school. Each night that I have tucked them in they ask if tomorrow is a school day. This is such a relief to me, you have no idea. I was afraid the novelty would quickly wear off, but as of yet it has not. They have, consequently to be quarantined for the last 5 years, contracted a head cold. I had heard that when children began school for the first time they get sick a lot, and I just hope this does not set the norm for the next year.
In other news... I had a severe case of hives this week. They began on Tuesday (no sign of a bug bite this time), covered me head to toe, woke me at night, and were just miserable for about 2 days. Benadryl was able to hold them off for several hours, but kept me in a dopey stupor, not conducive to me needing to hear ALL about school from my 2 new students. So, I went to the doc, got a shot in the rear, a nice non-drowsy prescription for hive relief, and have been good to go the last 2 days. So, I think I have it pinpointed to what was the cause, but it is a secret. The day the boys started school, I called my mom, and being a bit weepy about the new changes she lovingly sent me a beautiful bouquet of hydrangeas, lillies and some mystery berry variety. They were just gorgeous, smelled divine, I moved them from room to room so I could enjoy them wherever I was working. Well, it was not 'til after I got the shot, that it occured to me that these lovelies may be causing me the strife. I had Clark put them out on the back porch, where they still reside today, and I have been hive free. So, it could be the shot, the meds, but my money is on the bouquet. I have not admitted this to my mom, so please, shhhhh, don't tell her.
And, lastly, this post has gotten a bit long for me to discuss my other news. I will tell you of my new work-from-home job in a later post.
For now, have a lovely weekend.

That picture is priceless! How do you get them to cooperate for pictures? All I can ever capture is angry shots of him yelling at me to put the camera down. Anyway, hope you are feeling better!! The boys too!
