This is my anniversay gift. My husband likes to go with the traditional list. For the anniversay of cotton I was given a 100% cotton sundress that I still wear 4 years later, and for the leather year I was gifted a leather bound passport holder (still waiting to put to use), and the year of paper a lovely poem scribed on our leftover wedding invitation paper. This year, the 6th year, is iron... And while this bike may not technically be made of iron I think it is the most perfect anniversary gift.
And, for him, I made a lovely decadent chocolate cake (from scratch I might add) with chocolate icing (not from scratch). It was not until time to serve that he so kindly reminded me that he can not eat chocolate. But that the boys and I could enjoy it for him. Ah, the love...
Not to worry though... We are having a little getaway, just the 2 of us and some friends, up in Austin.
I think I may take him out to dinner...my treat!
Just as soon as the grandparents get here...
