The End

This is my attempt at creating a little movie.  I have a jillion little snippets of video taken over the past couple of years from the little flip and iPhone and after seeing a video created by my girl Jami (brilliant) I was inspired. And this is my attempt.

I must admit I have watched it countless times and still choke up a bit each time. Not because of the perfect filming or the flawless editing (obviously) but because of the unintended direction that the project took.  I wanted to use some of the fun clips I had of the boys outside playing and learning to ride their bikes.. Then I also had the graduation ceremony from preschool... And of course their first day of kindergarten and what they were most anxious about.

After I put it all together and the pieces fell into place I realized it was the story of an ending. The end of our 6 years together, home, playing, carefree, schedule-free, getting to know each other, growing, nurturing, and preparing them to venture out into the world without me... I think this video captures those final months beautifully.

Oh my gawd, the goosebumps haven't left me since the music started. You have such an eye for emotion and an ear for the perfect melody. Thank you for sharing this. Treasure it forever, my friend.

that was so awesome! You do amazingly artistic work! I wanna learn. I love how you put both still photos and videos together, something I would never think to do. I've got to try something like this someday. I think it would be hard to choose just a few clip and photos tho... I love this. Nice job.
