For this particular recipe it is all about the brown paper bag. Sealing the inside of the bag with oil and spices.
Covering the bird with the same oil and spices.
After plopping the bird inside the now oily brown paper bag, the bag is stapled closed. The oil and the staples seal it up and it steams while it cooks.
And pop it into the oven.
While you wait for your bird to cook you're free to...
...snuggle up and watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
...break out the Tinker Toys.
...begin a family chess tournament in which the 6 year old beats you every time (literally).
...love the ones you love.
...finish up your side dishes.
And, at last...
the bird is done! Take him out of the bag...
...plop him on a platter and your good to go. Beautiful!
Cheers to a lovley holiday season!

Thanks to you both! Happy Holidays!!
I love this post. I love your apron. I love how you parent. I feel as though I am looking right into your little world.
I had to go back and watch your video again the other day. As I watched, I felt so moved, and wondered if my videos touch people as yours did me.
Love to you, dear friend.
