Taking After Momma

Henry kept us up all night...

A continuous cough that Clark timed to an average of every 3 minutes.  Loud and barkey. This lasted from 8:00 pm to 2:00 am then sporadically through the rest of the night.  At one point he coughed for 9 minutes continuously. It was scary. We tried everything...suppressants...hot showers...essential oils...fresh ginger and honey shots...humidifier...Nothing would calm the cough...NOTHING. He had to sleep on the couch as he was keeping his brother awake.

The next morning, exhausted and majorly sleep deprived, we dropped Nelson at school, called the doctor to get Henry the earliest available appointment. Clark took off work.  As we drove him we quietly discussed the scenarios.. A cold?  Possibly.  Bronchitis?  Maybe.  Pneumonia?  Probably.  Double Pneumonia?  Oh, Lord.

We talked about how much school he would be missing.  Investing in a Nebulizer.

None of the above...

Allergies.  A little nose spray and back to school by noon.
