Celebrating at School

Two little boys we know are getting ready to have a 7th birthday. The actual day is not until next week but we they are already having their first week-off intersession this coming week so we had a little cupcake celebration with their classmates this week.

I ordered ridiculously over-sugared/over food-colored cupcakes from the grocery. Apparently our school doesn't allow homemade baked goods in the classrooms, not that I would have made homemade cupcakes anyhow, but still...

Nelson wanted his cakes decorated with Transformers (I chose bling-rings for the girls)...

Henry wanted his to be Clone Wars...

Always the parent that gets outdone... Two other kids had birthdays too. Their moms brought ice-cream, juices, flowers, balloons, and Bieber Bags... Of course they did...

Nelson's classroom, Clark and I found, was pretty wild compared to Henry's. We were able to see first hand why Nelson has had his card flipped to blue already. He is quite the social butterfly...

This coming week we will be off on our birthday adventure week. You may remember last year's birthday celebration at Hogwarts?? This one will be equally exciting with a few extra players to join in the fun... Stay tuned!

What's the concern about homemade baked goods in the classroom?
