Made a trip to the doc yesterday. Was told I definitely do not have the flu, "just a cold." Makes me feel like such a wimp. I am up and getting work done today; however, could have lied in bed all day if two little boys would let me.
Speaking of 2 little boys... I am taking them to the doc today at 2:00. They pretty much have the same thing as I, but miraculously their energy is just fine. Joy!! I think they need a little antibiotic as their noses are oozing something disgusting and I just can't send them to school in their current state. I was not going to get them flu shots but think I will go ahead and take the opportunity today to do just that. They also need a second Hep C shot so we are in for some fun... You may recall our post on our last shot debacle... At least I have learned my lesson for this one.
**Update to the update: The boys have bronchitis. They are on an antibiotic and steroid. Now I am having some major guilt issues that I didn't get them in sooner. They are the ones that should have been in yesterday, not me with my lil' old cold. They have a week to improve or we have to go back in for further evaluation. It's amazing that their energy is still good. You can see the illness in their eyes, and of course seeping from their noses, but the cough is not horrible. I was a bit surprised by the diagnosis.
They were spared the flu shot as none were available for them. Supposedly our area is not seeing widespread illness right now, as is has already died down. They expect it will peak again and want us to come in when they do have the vaccine available.

This time next week you will be a new woman. Do you have enough medication to blur/fastforward/zoom til' then?
Arghhh!
Hang in there ;)
We managed to talk our Dr. into giving both boys flu shots yesterday. The little guy didn't make a peep, but Chase acted as if they were removing a limb. It was so dramatic. I did take your advice and took the baby out of the room so he wouldn't be subjected to the terror ;) Thanks!
